Dear All,
It is with honor and purpose that I welcome you to the Fifteenth Annual Palestinian Model United Nations Conference PalMUN XV. This year's theme, Documenting the Truth, is not a slogan, it is in recognition of the fact that your voice is evidence and your words can store, validate, and protect reality in a time when truth is always the first to be victimized by oppression.
In the name of the PalMUN XV Board and the Ramallah Friends School community, I am honored to provide an arena where debate is not merely intellectual play, it is accountability. In a nation that continues to be plagued by erasure and misrepresentation, the practice of truth telling and policy making is in and of itself an exercise of resilience. Your presence here is the testament to your role in shaping the story of tomorrow: not as recipients of history, but as its authors.
In my own Model UN experiences, I have witnessed firsthand how this platform raises passion into leadership. From Head of Training to chairing, and attending another 7 conferences, and winning five Best Delegate awards, MUN has shown me not only how to talk but how to build others into speakers. And this year as Secretary General, my vision is not only to run this conference, but to lead the next generation of decision-makers who will carry their truth beyond these walls.
You are entering into committees where negotiation is not just strategy its character. Where diplomacy is not show business it is duty. In the days ahead, you will not simply debate resolutions, you will sharpen conviction, buff integrity, and practice the courage of leadership in a world that hungers for it.
I ask you all to enter your committee rooms with intention. Raise your voice when it is difficult. Listen when you have to. Write as if your words can become recorded because in a conference built on recording truth, they can. Let PalMUN XV be the moment you choose not to merely attend debate, but to claim responsibility for your space within it.
The future will not wait for the leaders, it is built by those who choose to lead now. I urge you to step forward with courage, discipline, and conviction. This is your stage. This is your voice. Use it.
